The employees of Centacare are excited to be part of the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival again in 2018 with a very special purpose this year. Partnering with four Sydney Schools, Centacare employees will be participating in a buddy program with students to run together and fundraise for Centacare.
Centacare provides meaningful employment for people who have an intellectual disability. The partnership with schools in this years running festival will give students the opportunity to meet our employees prior to the race, run with them on the day and understand what Centacare means to them. For our employees the partnership will give them an amazing opportunity to interact and socialise with their buddies in a fun and positive environment.
Last year we raised a fantastic $30,433 for Centacare thanks to the fundraising efforts of employees, staff, and of course you, our generous donors. This year we would like to beat this amazing target and raise a total of $50,000 for Centacare to help enhance and enrich the lives of our employees. Donations will provide additional training, social events and life skills activities to build employees confidence and independence in the community.
The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival will take place on Sunday 16th September where Centacare employees and their buddies will enjoy a fun run, or walk, over the iconic Sydney
Harbour Bridge. Which will certainly be a lasting memory for all involved, especially our employees.
Nothing can take away their disabilities, but you can help make their lives a whole lot better.
If you can, please click here to make a donation to support Team Centacare (and their buddies) at this year’s Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. Thank you for your generous support.
